For the seasons musical theme 'Italia mia!' i created an image which reminds of the vintage travel posters. The smaller text " e il naufragar...etc" is the last phrase of a poem which is very famous in Italy: 'l'Infinito' by Giacomo Leopardi. On of the world premieres in this season was a piece based on this poem.
The poem itself is a product of Leopardy's yearning to travel beyond his restrictive home town and experience more of the world. Experience and discovery is one of the goals of this concertseries.
The NTR ZaterdagMatinee offers an internationally leading series of concerts at Het Concertgebouw in Amsterdam and is a collaboration between several dutch tv and radio broadcasting companies.
